Position Overview

As a UI/UX Designer (1099) at SynapseMX, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our cutting-edge maintenance execution and management solutions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design intuitive and visually compelling interfaces that empower aircraft maintenance professionals to streamline their workflows and optimize operations. From conceptualizing wireframes and prototypes to refining high-fidelity mockups, you will be instrumental in translating user needs and business requirements into innovative design solutions. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate interaction and design ideas effectively.
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to iteratively improve the user experience.
  • Create high-fidelity mockups and design assets for implementation.
  • Ensure consistency and coherence across all products and platforms by adhering to established design guidelines and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance design processes and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Legally able to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and front-end development frameworks.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Solid grasp of interaction design and information architecture.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in creating clean, efficient, and responsive designs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative mindset to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for enterprise software applications or complex systems.
  • Prior experience or interest in the aerospace and defense industry is a plus.
  • Prior U.S. Air Force experience is a plus.
